About the position

The Metrics Intern role at The Brattle Group offers an opportunity for undergraduate students to apply economic concepts in a professional services environment. Interns will enhance their research and data analysis skills while collaborating with experts in various fields of economics. This internship emphasizes teamwork, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Build quantitative models and create innovative data-based solutions for clients using programming languages such as R, Python, Stata, SAS, Excel, and VBA.
  • Conduct comprehensive qualitative research, including market analysis, literature reviews, and document examination, to support expert reports.
  • Assist in preparing expert reports and presentations for expert witnesses, ensuring complex economic and financial concepts are clearly communicated.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members at all levels to develop robust and innovative solutions for clients.

Requirements

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., economics, computer science, data science, mathematics) with strong academic performance.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills, as project work is done almost exclusively on teams.
  • Intellectual curiosity and creativity, with a desire to learn and approach problems innovatively.
  • A high degree of ownership and commitment to delivering quality work and engaging in excellent client services.
