About the position

The Research Analyst IV position at Calvert Systems Engineering Inc. is a full-time role based in Greenville, TX, requiring a minimum clearance of TOP SECRET/SCI. The successful candidate will provide subject matter expertise and guidance in conducting detailed operational and technical analyses of airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) sensors, systems, and architectures. This role is pivotal in establishing and leading a multi-disciplinary team to define ISR system requirements, tactics, techniques, and procedures necessary for conducting independent performance assessments. The position involves supporting the documentation of assessment results and developing recommendations for system enhancements. The candidate will guide the planning, design, development, and execution of models and simulations for sensor/system performance assessments. The products of this role will include requirements development, operational concept definitions, feasibility studies, technology trade studies, analyses, and performance and simulation development. Additionally, the Research Analyst IV will supervise Research Engineers I, II, III, and IV, ensuring effective management of technical scope, cost, staffing, production, and deliverables across multiple simultaneous research projects. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Science, or a related field, along with at least fifteen years of operational experience with airborne ISR systems/networks. Familiarity with DOD and DAF policies related to airborne ISR operational and technical requirements is essential. The role also requires the ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance, as well as strong mathematical knowledge to participate in developing models and simulations of complex ISR missions and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead a multi-disciplinary team in defining ISR system requirements, tactics, techniques, and procedures for performance assessments.
  • Support the documentation of assessment results and develop recommended system enhancements.
  • Guide the planning, design, development, and execution of sensor/system/architecture models and simulations for performance assessments.
  • Develop products including requirements development, operational concept definitions, feasibility studies, technology trade studies, analyses, and performance and simulation development.
  • Supervise Research Engineer I, II, III, and IV, managing overall technical scope, cost, staffing, production, and deliverables from major or prime contract level programs.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Science, or a related field required.
  • Fifteen (15+) years of operational experience with airborne ISR systems/networks.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance.
  • Familiarity with DOD and DAF policies, instructions, and directives related to airborne ISR operational and technical requirements.
  • Mathematical knowledge sufficient to develop models and simulations of complex ISR missions.
