As a Research Analyst at Dow Jones, you will play a crucial role in supporting the coverage of the Global C4 and Elastomers markets. This position involves maintaining existing models and systems, developing new research methodologies, and supporting the generation and publication of reports. You will also provide direct client support, particularly as your interaction with clients increases over time. Initially, your responsibilities will be more internally focused, but as you grow in the role, you will have the opportunity to engage more directly with clients. You will report to the Global C4 & Elastomers Service Leader, contributing to the strategic direction of the team and the insights provided to stakeholders in the chemical industry. Your contributions will include regular input into semi-monthly and annual reports on C4 olefin markets, which encompass contract prices, margin analysis, supply and demand dynamics, and forecasts. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating mathematical models and tools that are essential for analyzing petrochemical products within the C4 olefin value chain. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. In this position, you will be part of a celebrated team of subject matter experts at Chemical Market Analytics by OPIS, a Dow Jones company, which is dedicated to providing deep insights and guidance to stakeholders in the global chemical industry.
