The University of Kentucky is seeking a Research Analyst Principal to join the Markey Cancer Center's Biospecimen and Tissue Procurement Shared Resource Facility. This full-time position is dedicated to providing essential research histology and immunohistochemistry (IHC) services to various research investigators. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of histological tasks, including embedding, sectioning, and staining of tissue samples, as well as performing special stains. Additionally, the role involves developing protocols for IHC and immunofluorescence (IF), creating and sectioning tissue microarrays, and conducting molecular pathology assays such as TUNEL and in situ hybridization. Attention to detail in record-keeping is crucial, along with strong general laboratory skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy in all laboratory work.
