About the position

Applied Memetics LLC is seeking a highly skilled Research Analyst with expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. The role involves supporting project management, conducting data analysis, and designing surveys to meet client objectives. The ideal candidate will be adept at integrating open-source and classified data, and will have experience in data visualization and analysis tools. This position requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team, with a focus on delivering actionable insights based on comprehensive assessments of operations in the information environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of operations in the information environment.
  • Obtain and analyze open-source unclassified survey and assessment data from various sources.
  • Translate client objectives into actionable survey and focus group instruments.
  • Ensure surveys and focus groups are representative of the target population and achieve high response rates.
  • Analyze survey and focus group data using accepted statistical practices.
  • Utilize software for data analysis and visualization, such as SPSS and Microsoft Power BI.
  • Conduct research on social media platforms to analyze trends among target audiences.
  • Draft reports and presentations detailing assessment results and insights.
  • Support the organization of meetings and manage attendance and logistics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in an operational environment related to Information Operations, intelligence, or data science.
  • At least one year's experience in qualitative and quantitative research and analysis projects.
  • Proficiency with software such as MAXQDA or NVivo for content analysis.
  • Understanding of research design, methodology, and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with data management, cleaning, and visualization using tools like R, Python, or SPSS.
  • Active SECRET security clearance required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field.
  • Fluency in Spanish, with the ability to provide translation services.
  • Experience in conducting assessments with classified data integration.
