About the position

The Research Analyst position at Panterra is a full-time remote role focused on managing research projects that address complex policy and communications issues. The role emphasizes opinion research projects in Latin America, requiring strong analytical and communication skills, particularly in Spanish. The Research Analyst will collaborate with team members to oversee both domestic and international research initiatives, ensuring they meet deadlines and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing vendors and helping with programming, testing, and proofing research materials
  • Creating research schedules, managing timelines, and vendors
  • Conducting background research
  • Assisting in drafting surveys, qualitative question guides, and screening questionnaires
  • Managing research vendors and project timelines
  • Overseeing, managing, and attending focus groups and other in-person research projects
  • Preparing and proofreading client-facing deliverables
  • Assisting in analysis of quantitative and qualitative research findings, including memo-writing and PowerPoint deck-building
  • Tracking project budgets
  • Contributing to strong, supportive, and positive team culture

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to hit deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Must be comfortable operating in a remote setting, collaborating virtually while remaining engaged with colleagues
  • Verbal and written fluency in Spanish strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills including comfort supporting team members and senior leaders
  • Interest or experience in political campaigns, public policy, public opinion research, or market research
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Understanding of basic quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, and/or familiarity with polling/surveys and focus group research
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially PowerPoint
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
