About the position

The Research Analyst, Staff position at AMERICAN SYSTEMS involves providing technical literacy in critical DOD technology areas to support the Joint Acquisition Protection and Exploitation Cell (JAPEC) within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)). The role is focused on safeguarding the nation's Research & Engineering technology ecosystem and requires collaboration across multiple interagency teams to enhance the security of military systems and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical support in protecting the country.
• Serve as an integrator of intelligence products to inform operations of DoD's partner organizations.
• Collaborate across multiple interagency teams to fortify America's approach to safeguarding science and next generation technology.
• Crosswalk adversary technology status with the nation's current research cadence and progress.

Requirements

• BS Degree in a STEM field with 5-7 years of experience.
• Secret Clearance required (TS/SCI eligibility).
• Experience in space technology is a significant plus.
• Proclivity for literature research and data evaluation.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong team orientation.
• Ability to be on-site for classified work and meetings.
• Proactive and organized.
