About the position

The Research Analyst, Staff position at AMERICAN SYSTEMS involves providing critical support in safeguarding the nation's Research & Engineering technology ecosystem. This role requires a strong technical literacy in DOD technology areas and collaboration with interagency teams to enhance the security of military systems. The position is based in College Park, MD, and requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to safeguarding the nation's Research & Engineering (R&E) technology ecosystem.
• Serve as an integrator of intelligence products to inform next steps and key operations of DoD's partner organizations.
• Collaborate across multiple interagency teams to fortify America's approach to safeguarding science and next generation technology.
• Crosswalk adversary technology status with our nation's current research cadence and progress.

Requirements

• BS or higher Degree required in a STEM field with 8 years of experience.
• Secret Clearance required (TS/SCI eligibility).
• Proclivity for literature research and data evaluation.
• Strong oral and written skills.
• Strong team orientation.
• Ability to be on-site for classified work and meetings.
• Proactive and organized.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in space technology is a significant plus.
