About the position

Mintel is seeking a Research Analyst specializing in Technology, Media, and Gaming to join their Chicago office. This mid-level position involves leveraging consumer research to support major companies in their growth strategies. The Analyst will contribute to Mintel's renowned publications by developing and analyzing research plans, producing insightful reports, and collaborating with various teams to enhance client engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Write 10 syndicated consumer lifestyle reports annually that integrate consumer data with secondary research.
  • Define report scope, identify key issues, design consumer research, and conduct trade interviews.
  • Analyze data and produce final reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Develop quantitative consumer surveys to meet research objectives.
  • Conduct secondary research using external resources to support insights and recommendations.
  • Respond to client requests for insights and present findings from reports.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the company, including sales and marketing teams.

Requirements

  • Some experience in consumer/media/marketing research, shopper or consumer insights, branding, or consulting roles.
  • Strong writing skills to create compelling narratives based on consumer trends.
  • Ability to navigate and analyze internal and external data effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
