About the position

The Research Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the Marketing department by gathering and analyzing data that drives business growth. This position involves a comprehensive examination of sales and advertising campaign results to identify areas for improvement. The Research Analyst collaborates closely with the Marketing management team to develop effective strategies for data collection and interpretation, which are essential for informed business decisions. A key aspect of this role is the willingness to learn and adapt to various internal and external operating systems and software tools that facilitate data analysis. Attention to detail is paramount in this position. The Research Analyst is responsible for preparing and presenting findings to the Marketing team and other management members, ensuring that all data is accurately fact-checked and validated. Staying informed about current business trends is also a critical responsibility, as the Research Analyst will make recommendations to the management team based on their research findings. This role may also include other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Marketing department.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Marketing department by gathering and analyzing data to aid business growth.
  • Examine the results of sales and ad campaigns for business improvement purposes.
  • Work with the Marketing management team to identify effective ways to gather and interpret data.
  • Learn internal and external operating systems and other software systems.
  • Prepare and present findings to the Marketing team and other members of management after appropriate fact checking and data validation.
  • Keep up to date on current business trends and make recommendations based on research findings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED; a degree or equivalent experience in statistics, marketing, web-based analytics, or a related field preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in research, monitoring, and analysis.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Fine attention to detail is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets, Google Docs, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Must have a certificate in Google AdWords and Google Analytics.
