About The Position
The Research Analyst will join the JLL Research team in Chicago to build and continue to elevate a best-in-class research program that differentiates JLL. You will have primary responsibility for collecting and analyzing data, maintaining and constantly elevating the quality of our data, and working with the Research team to present data in a compelling way. The Research Analyst will assist in tracking and analyzing all aspects of the local commercial real estate market, economic drivers, and demographics and will leverage that knowledge proactively for research products, client projects, and business development efforts. Successful candidates are passionate about what drives their city, economy, and commercial real estate. In this role, you will collect and audit commercial real estate and economic data, including data on properties, leases, tenants, availabilities, developments, sales, and owners. You will follow established processes to ensure data excellence within our database, and regularly audit and refine datasets. Analyzing market data to identify trends and understand economic and real estate market drivers will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will present market insights and conditions as needed to internal teams and clients, create compelling visualizations, and provide meaningful insights on local market data, trends, and drivers. Additionally, you will develop strong relationships with internal and external clients and facilitate the use of our technology tools. Demonstrating our tools and research capabilities to internal teams and clients, as well as developing and sharing best practice standards, will also be part of your duties. This position requires a strong organizational skill set, data collection, validation, and auditing skills, along with a passion for economic and real estate market drivers and/or urban planning and development.
