About the position

Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is seeking a Research Analyst to support data governance and analytics for the college. This full-time position will report to the Associate Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness and Research and will focus on developing data visualizations, automating data requests, conducting survey research, and contributing to strategic decision-making processes. The role also involves supporting assessment, planning, and accreditation activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential data analytics in support of overall data governance for the college.
• Aid in the development of data visualizations and dashboards using the student information system and other data sources.
• Automate and coordinate responses to requests for data and information.
• Conduct survey research as assigned by the AVP.
• Contribute to all data needs for strategic decision making at the college.
• Assist the SACSCOC Liaison in preparing documents and reports for accreditation.
• Collect and document assessment and planning data.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in a related field or a blend of education and practical experience.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Proven ability to engage with ethnically and culturally diverse groups.
• Knowledge of incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into data analysis and reporting.
