About The Position

The Research Analyst will provide essential research and analytical support to the IT-Non-IT Workgroup (ITW) within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Strategic Investment Management (SIM) office. This role is critical in facilitating both IT and non-IT-related initiatives by offering comprehensive research, analysis, and report preparation that aids in decision-making processes. The Research Analyst will collaborate closely with the ITW Secretariat, Integrated Governance Structure (IGS), and various stakeholders to ensure the accurate delivery of project goals by supporting both funded and unfunded IT/non-IT initiatives within the VHA. This individual will engage in frequent interactions with VHA IT governance bodies and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of key projects. Key responsibilities include conducting in-depth research to gather data relevant to IT and non-IT projects, analyzing complex datasets to generate actionable insights and recommendations, and preparing detailed reports, briefing materials, and updates for ITW leads, stakeholders, and VHA executive leadership. The Research Analyst will also assist in the development of project plans, schedules, deliverables, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for various initiatives within ITW. Additionally, the role involves organizing and providing logistical support for ITW meetings and briefings, maintaining documentation of research findings, project updates, and meeting minutes, and facilitating the progression of both IT and non-IT projects to ensure alignment with VHA's strategic objectives and adherence to governance processes.
