The Center on Drug and Alcohol Research (CDAR) at the University of Kentucky is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Research Analyst. This role is integral to coordinating research efforts on the inpatient addiction medicine consult service and the outpatient addiction bridge clinic, particularly in relation to the Kentucky Opioid Response Effort (KORE) Grant. The Research Analyst will serve as both an administrative and research coordinator, playing a vital role in the management and execution of research activities associated with the KORE grant. Key responsibilities for this position include a variety of administrative and research support activities. The Research Analyst will be responsible for data management, data collection, and the creation of reports. This includes coordinating meeting schedules and minutes, as well as the development of educational and research-related materials. Additionally, the role involves drafting correspondence and managing patient-related tasks such as scheduling, coordination, and performing pre-authorizations. The Research Analyst will also be tasked with purchasing relevant equipment and supplies necessary for the research activities. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent organizational skills are essential, as the role requires managing multiple responsibilities effectively. While no prior experience is required, familiarity with a substance-abusing population is preferred, along with experience in using computers for data management and reporting.
