About the position
The University of Southern California (USC) Leonard Davis School of Gerontology is seeking a Research Analyst to support projects focused on cognitive aging and Alzheimer's disease. The role involves data management, statistical analysis, and collaboration with research teams, contributing to scientific writing and project administration.
Responsibilities
- Participate in multiple research projects related to cognitive aging and Alzheimer's disease.
- Conduct data wrangling and management, including data cleaning and merging datasets.
- Perform survival analysis and longitudinal data analysis using R or SAS.
- Document workflow and produce organized summary reports of statistical analyses.
- Contribute to the interpretation of research findings and write scientific abstracts and manuscripts.
- Conduct literature reviews and assist in grant proposal writing.
- Collaborate with research team members at UCLA and other institutions.
- Assist in the administration and coordination of various research projects.
Requirements
- Master's degree in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, or a related field preferred.
- At least one year of work experience in a related field.
- Proficiency in statistical software (R and SAS) for data management and analysis.
- Excellent coding skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research team.
Nice-to-haves
