About The Position

HR&A Advisors, Inc. (HR&A) is an employee-owned company dedicated to advising public, private, non-profit, and philanthropic clients on enhancing opportunities and improving quality of life in urban settings. Our mission is to create vital places, build equitable and resilient communities, and enhance the lives of individuals. With a global footprint that spans from Brooklyn to London, and Medellin to Hong Kong, we have successfully guided numerous clients in transforming real estate and economic development concepts into actionable plans that yield job-producing and community-strengthening assets. Our diverse clientele includes real estate owners and investors, hospitals, universities, cultural institutions, philanthropies, community development organizations, and government entities. Our team comprises professionals from various backgrounds, including former city officials, executive directors, planners, lawyers, architects, and economists, all united by a shared passion for urban development. As a Research Analyst at HR&A, you will play a crucial role in our team-oriented and collaborative structure, contributing to our data-driven approach to city building. This entry-level position is designed for individuals with 0-2 years of professional experience who are eager to engage in projects that address the complex challenges facing cities today. Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary by project and may include conducting market analysis, performing case study research, engaging in econometric modeling, executing spatial analysis, analyzing public policy, and conducting quantitative analysis in Excel, particularly in real estate-focused financial contexts. You will also be responsible for drafting proposals for new projects, producing marketing materials, and crafting client deliverables in the form of written reports, memos, and PowerPoint presentations. This position offers significant opportunities for growth, as many of our senior staff members began their careers as Research Analysts, allowing for specialization over time.
