The Research Analyst position at Advantage Commercial Real Estate is a full-time role focused on enhancing the company's in-house research capabilities. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and innovative thinker, passionate about research and committed to excellence. This role involves leading research initiatives, collaborating with the marketing team, and providing valuable insights to advisors, clients, and the community, ultimately shaping the direction of the research department to align with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage a solid understanding of commercial real estate to guide research initiatives and provide valuable insights.
  • Take initiative in all research-related tasks, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance expertise and visibility in the market.
  • Explore various research initiatives to position advisors as experts in the community.
  • Manage and collaborate with marketing on HubSpot to maintain a solid comp and CRM database.
  • Ensure all advisors are actively engaging with the HubSpot system to maintain comprehensive and accurate data.
  • Work closely with marketing to brainstorm and execute creative ideas that resonate with the community and marketplace.
  • Stay informed on key markets within Michigan, providing relevant statistics and insights to inform decision-making.
  • Prepare relevant research for pitches and proposals for advisors.
  • Deliver and write quarterly Market Reports, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Pull property and market data and compile relevant graphs and stats for the company.
  • Analyze regional trends and compile various reports.
  • Compile and keep a regular list of appraisers in the West Michigan area.
  • Maintain and manage ZoomInfo account, sending relevant insights to individual advisors/teams.
  • Curate and manage a library of relevant articles and research materials for advisors to access.
  • Develop and maintain a sales comparable database to support informed decision-making in commercial transactions.
  • Monitor upcoming projects and developments in the region to keep the team informed of potential impacts on the market.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail in all tasks, ensuring precision in research and reporting.

Requirements

  • 2-3 or more years in a research role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Self-starter
  • CRM experience
  • Creative
  • Easily adaptable to ever-changing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Commercial real estate experience preferred
