About the position

The Research Analyst position is part of the Michigan Center for Hand Outcomes and Innovative Research (MCHOIR) within the Section of Plastic Surgery. The role involves analyzing and interpreting data for various clinical research projects, contributing to grant writing, and overseeing the recruitment and management of research subjects and assistants. The position requires collaboration within a diverse team of faculty, fellows, and research staff, focusing on methodologies such as decision analyses and clinical trials.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and interprets data for clinical research projects.
  • Assists in writing clinical research grants and protocols.
  • Writes results for reports and manuscripts for publication.
  • Screens and oversees the recruitment of subjects.
  • Collects, processes, and analyzes data.
  • Manages full- and part-time research assistants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a recognized field of science or learning directly related to the duties of the position.
  • Familiarity with administrative data, statistical programming, and analysis using SAS, Stata, and R packages.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong writing ability.
  • Knowledge of IRB research applications and amendments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and citation management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
