About the position

LDRM is seeking Research Analysts to join their team, focusing on streamlining the review, validation, compliance, and submission of government-specific system applications. The role involves conducting thorough research, analyzing data, and ensuring the integrity of record-keeping systems to support pre-adjudication processes related to cases. The position requires effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders to facilitate information sharing and identify potential fraudulent activities.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts research on cases prior to adjudication by gathering information from various sources, including petitions, applications, and supporting documents.
  • Evaluates data sets and interprets the relevance of gathered data, including numerical statistics and legal documents.
  • Performs analyses on research conducted to identify possible fraudulent activity related to cases.
  • Ensures the integrity of record-keeping systems and the accuracy of data collected before entering it into the systems.
  • Writes clear and concise reports summarizing the information gathered during research.
  • Coordinates and networks with agency personnel and other government agencies to facilitate information sharing on cases involving fraud or potential criminal activity.
  • Handles Law Enforcement Sensitive (LES) information appropriately.
  • Analyzes petitions being returned to identify trends useful for future research before cases are sent overseas.
  • Identifies errors and areas for improvement in memos associated with petitions.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of resources pertaining to eligibility requirements.
  • May perform other duties as assigned to support the unit's mission of pre-adjudication.
  • Makes phone calls to collect individualized information and creates reports based on the information provided.
  • Evaluates cases and executes communication based on individualized needs.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of related experience.
  • High School degree or equivalent (associate's degree or higher preferred).
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background investigation, including credit and criminal checks.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship).
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in English.
  • Ability to prepare reports and analyze documents for authenticity against government standards.
  • Ability to establish effective communications with peers and government officials.
  • Ability to use databases for obtaining and validating information.
  • Ability to comprehend government regulations.
  • Ability to conduct telephonic interviews for obtaining and validating information.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in Spanish (preferred).
