About the position

The Research Analyst position involves conducting in-depth fundamental research to identify market trends and financial drivers across various subsectors. The role requires building financial models, analyzing scientific and clinical data, and generating investment recommendations based on detailed financial modeling and proprietary research. The analyst will actively monitor portfolio holdings and participate in earnings calls, while also engaging with management teams and staying updated on relevant news events.

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep fundamental research to identify shifts in market trends.
• Model key business and financial drivers for various subsectors.
• Build financial models and analyze scientific/clinical data.
• Meet with management teams to gather insights and information.
• Generate long and short equity investment recommendations supported by detailed financial modeling.
• Actively monitor portfolio holdings and participate in quarterly earnings calls.
• Monitor news events related to companies under coverage.

Requirements

• Master of Business Administration in Business Analytics/Finance or related field.
• Two (2) years of experience as an Investment Analyst or in a related role.
• Experience analyzing financial reports and developing investment recommendations utilizing primary research.
• Proficient in industry analysis and using proprietary data sources.
• Experience meeting with management and attending industry conferences.
• Ability to lead detailed financial diligence for multimillion/multibillion valuation companies.
• Skilled in building detailed financial models in Microsoft Excel.
