About the position

The Research and Data Analyst at Albertus Magnus College plays a crucial role in supporting campus-wide decision-making and outcomes assessment through the collection, analysis, and reporting of institutional data. This position collaborates with various departments to ensure accurate data collection, analyze trends, and develop visualizations, thereby contributing to strategic planning and enrollment management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the integration of data between various institutional systems such as Colleague, CROA, Slate, and others.
• Extract, transform, and verify data from these systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Access and collect data from external sources to track key indicators for peer comparisons.
• Produce high-quality reports and data visualizations, including dashboards for commonly-requested data.
• Maintain and update data on the College's public-facing website and internal portal.
• Coordinate the administration of student surveys and assist with the analysis of results.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Successful experience in a professional/office setting, preferably in higher education.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and programmable software like SPSS or SAS.
• Proven critical thinking skills and ability to develop solutions.
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-service orientation.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Ability to learn and use new software applications.
