About the position

The Research and Data Analyst position at the University of Memphis involves supporting the PH IDEAS assessment team by managing grant evaluation responsibilities. The role requires a strong background in public health and data analysis, focusing on both qualitative and quantitative research methods. The analyst will work closely with community partners and institutional stakeholders to collect and analyze data that informs programmatic outcomes and supports grant objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the grants evaluation responsibilities as part of the PH IDEAS assessment team.
  • Lead or assist in the conceptualization, development, implementation, analysis, and documentation of the grant's assessment and research processes.
  • Collaborate with the primary investigator and partners to collect and utilize data for institutional priorities such as retention and graduation rates.
  • Work with community partners to fulfill grant evaluation requirements.
  • Supervise graduate students and assist in their research activities.
  • Distribute, complete, and collect required evaluations from community members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Public Health, Education, Social Work, Nursing, or a related field.
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including proficiency in SPSS or other data analysis software.
  • At least three years of project research experience, preferably in urban communities.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Doctoral degree in a relevant field.
