Responsibilities

• Develop and commercialize innovative technologies and products.
• Create and manage research programs through grant writing.
• Provide research direction on projects as a Principal Investigator or Key Technical Personnel.
• Mentor junior grant writers and researchers.
• Secure funding from the SBIR program to grow a research group.
• Influence customer-driven R&D and new product development.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree or Master's degree with research experience in relevant fields.
• Experience in grant writing and research program development.
• Strong background in technical areas such as Optics, Electronics, Advanced Materials, AI/ML.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in multi-disciplinary project management.
• Familiarity with commercialization processes.
• Knowledge of specific technical areas like Quantum sensing, Neuromorphic Systems, and Advanced Imaging.
