About the position

The Research and Financial Analyst at the University of California, Riverside, plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive pre-award and post-award research administration and financial management support to Principal Investigators (PIs) and faculty within the School of Education (SOE). Reporting to the Deputy Financial Administrative Officer, this position is integral to the SOE/SPP Business Operations and Research Administration Team. The analyst will independently collaborate with PIs on pre-award management tasks, which include developing proposal budgets, packaging proposal materials for submission, and completing electronic proposal reviews and approvals. In addition to pre-award responsibilities, the analyst will manage all aspects of post-award administration. The role also encompasses managing non-contract and grant funding for assigned PIs and faculty, which includes internal UC/UCR funds, initial complements, gifts, sales, services, and other funding sources. The analyst is expected to provide strategic financial analysis, budget management, and guidance on payroll, personnel, and procurement matters related to fund management.
