About the position

As a Research and Insights Manager at Google, you will develop and implement research studies that provide foundational learning to inform business and product strategy. This role involves executing new research about consumer perceptions and behaviors, synthesizing existing research into actionable insights, and managing relationships with cross-functional teams and external vendors. You will be responsible for translating complex ideas into simple communications and ensuring that insights inform marketing strategies and campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Develop insights from qualitative and quantitative data using various internal and external sources.
  • Share research findings and insights through presentations in various forums.
  • Define proactive research roadmaps that align with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-product and cross-functional partners to create impactful research roadmaps.
  • Lead the research process from start to finish, including designing briefs, managing RFPs, onboarding research agencies, and executing research.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of research and insights experience, including designing, scoping, executing, and delivering research projects.
  • Experience translating business problems into research questions and findings into marketing recommendations.
  • Experience managing qualitative, quantitative, and measurement agencies.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with various stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience leading or participating in vertical/category insights programs.
  • Experience working on a highly cross-functional team with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Technical knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
  • Familiarity with principles of research design across various methods.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify both granular and big-picture opportunities.
