About the position

Amentum is seeking a Research and Product Development Analyst to join our team in Spokane, WA. This full-time position is ideal for an individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to contribute to various projects related to Survival, Resistance, Evasion and Escape (SERE) and Personnel Recovery (PR). The successful candidate will leverage their skills in research, writing, and presentation to effectively communicate findings and support the development of training materials and policies. In this role, you will conduct specialized in-depth research and analysis using multiple sources to support SERE and PR policy, doctrine, curriculum development, training exercises, and other related projects. You will be expected to perform a variety of assignments with limited direction from the R&PD Assistant Lead and/or Lead, acting as both an individual contributor and a team member. There may also be opportunities to take on leadership functions for small projects or work activities, allowing you to develop your skills further while contributing to the success of the team. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to translate complex concepts into usable training materials. You will be working closely with various groups within the organization, making effective communication and interpersonal skills essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct specialized in-depth research and analysis using multiple sources to support SERE and PR policy, doctrine, curriculum development, and training projects.
  • Perform multiple and varying assignments under the limited direction of the R&PD Assistant Lead and/or Lead.
  • Act as an individual contributor and/or member of a team, potentially performing leadership functions for small projects or work activities.
  • Translate complex concepts into usable written training materials.
  • Prepare training materials for staffing and other related projects.

Requirements

  • Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret US Government Clearance.
  • Working or academic experience researching, translating, and organizing complex concepts into usable written training materials.
  • Proficient with standard desktop computer systems and related software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in preparing training materials for staffing.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Graduation from Service level 'C' Code of Conduct course.
  • Graduation from Professional Military Education course.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Effective speaking, writing, and presentation skills to express thoughts logically and clearly to a diverse audience.
  • Knowledge of doctrine, plans, policies, and procedures governing SERE/PR education and training.
