About the position
The position at Vanderbilt University Medical Center involves conducting experiments and research projects in a laboratory setting under moderate supervision. Responsibilities
- Set up and conduct experiments following established protocols.
- Record, compile, interpret, and communicate data/results.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure it is prepared for experiments.
- Follow University safety protocols, including handling hazardous materials.
- Perform calculations involving molarity, % solutions, and serial dilutions.
- Prepare reagents and maintain sterile conditions as required.
- Assist in modifications of experiments as directed.
- Provide written documentation of experiments and prepare preliminary research progress reports.
Requirements
- Experience in a laboratory setting or relevant field.
- Understanding of experimental protocols, including animal handling and tissue culture.
- Ability to perform calculations and maintain accurate records of experiments.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and equipment operation.
