About the position
The Research Assistant/Analyst position at the University of Utah involves gathering, organizing, and analyzing data for research purposes. Responsibilities
- Collects and compiles data from a variety of sources.
- Enters data into a PC or computer terminal.
- Statistically analyzes data, including calculating mean, median, and standard deviation.
- Plots scatter grams and performs multiple regression analysis.
- Edits research papers, project reports, proposals, and curriculum materials prior to publication or presentation.
- Prepares format for final disposition of data.
- Maintains an internal library on project information resources and final data collected.
- Works with research personnel in the design and preparation of research projects and in recording data.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a Social or Behavioral Science, Liberal Arts, or a related field, or equivalency (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education).
- One year of experience in research and analytical techniques.
- Demonstrated statistical and quantitative analysis experience.
- Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills.
