About the position

The Teaching, Learning and Development Lab (TLD) at NYU Abu Dhabi is seeking a Research Assistant or Associate to support research on early childhood development (ECD) and the role of caregivers. The position involves collaboration with Dr. Antje von Suchodoletz on various projects, requiring strong skills in ECD research, participant recruitment, and data analysis, particularly in the UAE context.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing research projects in the TLD lab.
• Assist in participant recruitment for studies conducted in the UAE and the greater Middle East region.
• Conduct data analyses and contribute to scientific writing, including co-authored publications and reports.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, researchers, and students.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Education, or Human Development.
• Experience in early childhood development (ECD) research.
• Fluency in Arabic, both spoken and written.
• Experience with data analysis and scientific writing.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of the local ECD landscape in the UAE.
• Training in ECD research.
