About the position

The Research Assistant for Cybersecurity at the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF) will support a project focused on developing future leaders in cyber policy through training, mentorship, and networking. This role is essential for the successful execution of project activities, including organizing seminars and managing online platforms, while also handling various administrative tasks. The position requires familiarity with global cybersecurity trends and the UN's Framework of Responsible State Behavior in Cyberspace.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project planning and implementation, including scheduling meetings and coordinating with project stakeholders.
• Manage online platforms used for participant engagement, including webinar tools and communication platforms.
• Support logistics for U.S. and international tech and policy hub visits, including tracking schedules and coordinating travel arrangements.
• Conduct background research on cybersecurity policies and emerging trends to inform project activities.
• Assist in preparing materials and briefings for webinars and policy discussions.
• Compile and organize program documentation and track project milestones.
• Maintain accurate records of participant engagement and program outcomes.

Requirements

• Undergraduate or graduate degree or equivalent experience in cybersecurity, public policy, political science, international relations, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an extroverted and engaging personality.
• Enthusiastic about interacting with fellows, alumni, and experts.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with digital policy and cybersecurity issues.
• Proficiency in online meeting and project management tools.
