About the position

The Research Assistant I position at MD Anderson Cancer Center focuses on supporting informatics and statistics-related research projects within the GI Radiation Oncology department. The role involves leading research projects under the supervision of a Principal Investigator (PI) and assisting in the screening of patients for active clinical trials, contributing to the mission of eliminating cancer through research and patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and aggregate data for meta-analytic purposes in biomedical research.
  • Utilize statistical software to manage and interpret research data effectively.
  • Record and evaluate data in line with requested methodologies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with study protocols.
  • Assess patient eligibility for clinical trials by reviewing clinical criteria and relevant patient information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with major course work in one of the basic sciences.
  • No prior experience required.
