The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Research Assistant to join our dynamic research team. This position will report directly to the Principal Investigator (PI) and will be integral in conducting biological research studies that utilize human samples. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing experiments under the guidance of the PI or a designated Research Assistant. This role requires a meticulous approach to preparing and analyzing biological samples using standard biochemical techniques such as western blotting, PCR, genotyping, and methylation analysis. Attention to detail is paramount, as the research focuses on understanding the genetic and epigenetic factors that influence lung cancer risk and the development of biomarkers for lung cancer management. In addition to technical skills, the Research Assistant must possess strong communication abilities to effectively collaborate with team members and contribute valuable insights to the research projects.
