About the position

The Research Assistant III will provide research and administrative support for multiple projects within the Department of Pediatrics at the Uniformed Services University. This role involves assisting the research team with regulatory paperwork, coordinating participant enrollment and compensation, conducting data collection, and facilitating communication with partners. The position is integral to ensuring the successful execution of research projects focused on military child and family health.

Responsibilities

• Assists with Institutional Review Board submissions and maintains records of research activities and resulting knowledge products.
• Assist with or works on the collection or organization of qualitative research data.
• Conducts medical chart reviews.
• Helps to schedule meetings for research collaborations and research activities such as focus groups.
• Assists with community engagement as well as recruitment, management and reimbursement of study participants for qualitative research and stakeholder engagement groups.
• Assists in the preparation of funding reports, publications, and presentations.
• Provides administrative support under the direction of a supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 6-8 years' experience required.
• Ability to work completely independently and use sound judgment in solving problems.
• Coordinate many complex systems and programs simultaneously.
• Knowledge of project management principles.
• Ability to follow general instructions.
• Good communication and analytical skills.
• The ability to obtain and/or maintain a T1 Public Trust with CAC.
