About the position

The Research Assistant in Pediatrics at Care New England Health System plays a crucial role in supporting various research studies led by the Principal Investigator and other professional staff members. This position is primarily focused on the Term Cord Clamping Project, which involves a range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the smooth operation and success of the research initiatives. The Research Assistant will be tasked with sending retention materials such as birthday and holiday cards to participants, logging appointments, and diligently following up on any missed appointments to maintain participant engagement and data integrity. In addition to administrative tasks, the Research Assistant will be responsible for data collection and conducting participant home visits. This hands-on approach is essential for gathering accurate data and ensuring that the research objectives are met. The role also includes maintaining and managing databases related to the project, developing database queries to extract relevant information, and assisting in the analysis of collected data. A critical aspect of the position involves reviewing relevant literature to stay informed about current research trends and findings, which will aid in the preparation of reports and manuscripts that contribute to the academic community. Furthermore, the Research Assistant will play a vital role in the recruitment and retention of study subjects. This includes attending public events to promote the study and recruiting participants at various offices. Responsibilities

  • Assist with the Term Cord Clamping Project by sending retention materials such as birthday and holiday cards.
