About The Position

This position is for a Research Assistant under Prof David Lieberman, available Spring 2025 until filled. Students will support ongoing research projects and substantive academic tasks associated with course work and/or faculty research. This position is covered by the collective bargaining agreement between SENS-UAW and The New School.

Requirements

• Must be flexible, responsible, and willing to be involved with a 'multi-tasker'.
• Excellent research, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to take direction as well as work independently as a self-starter.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and some graphic design skills.

Responsibilities

• Help in conceptualizing, researching, and preparing journalistic articles about the media business.
• Closely monitor the news and be a diligent and dependable researcher and collaborator.
• Prepare articles and related content for the Media Management program's LinkedIn page.
• Quickly find and synthesize information and communicate it clearly to a lay audience.
