About the position

Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Research Assistant- POSTGRADUATE WAYNE LAW ADMISSIONS OFFICE FELLOW at its Detroit campus location. Wayne State University Law School's Admissions Office ('Wayne Law') is seeking applications from Class of 2024 graduates of an ABA-accredited law school for a one calendar year Post-Graduate Research Assistant Fellowship. The fellowship offers an opportunity for a recent law school graduate to gain experience working with the Admissions office. The fellow will work closely with Admissions staff and will report directly to the Director of Undergraduate and Graduate Legal Programs. The fellow will conduct research and use data driven analytics to recommend and assist with the development of innovative opportunities for increasing Wayne Law's market share specific to undergraduate and graduate programs. The fellow may also assist with marketing and recruitment, enrollment management, and special events and activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with marketing and recruitment, enrollment management, and special events and activities.
  • Work closely with Admissions staff and report directly to the Director of Undergraduate and Graduate Legal Programs.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required.
  • Demonstrated interest in one or more of the listed areas.
  • Ability to engage in research and writing at a high level.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Ability to responsibly manage multiple projects.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision.

Benefits

  • Compensation type: Annual Salary
  • Salary hire maximum: $45,000
  • Flexible working conditions: fully remote, hybrid, or fully in-person.
  • Full-time position: 35 hours a week.
