About the position

Artemis Research is seeking a dedicated Research Assistant to join our Riverside office. This full-time position is integral to the day-to-day operations of our clinical research department, particularly in the fields of psychiatry and internal medicine. The Research Assistant will work under the supervision of the Site Director and will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the conduct of clinical trials. This role is essential in ensuring that our research processes are efficient and effective, contributing to the advancement of medical treatments. The Research Assistant will own all laboratory processes and procedures, with training provided on-site. Responsibilities include preparing source charts to ensure that the most recent versions are utilized, collecting and recording vital signs, performing EKGs and associated transmissions when required, and conducting lab draws, including processing and shipping samples as applicable. Additionally, the Research Assistant will assist with scheduling vendor-related subject appointments, such as imaging and eye appointments, and will be responsible for cleaning, stocking, and maintaining department supplies and equipment in accordance with company policy. This position also involves assisting with electronic data capture (EDC) entry related to source documentation as requested, although it does not include query resolution. Responsibilities

  • Own all laboratory processes and procedures (training provided on site)
  • Prep source charts, ensuring the most recent version of the source is always utilized
  • Collect and record vital signs
  • Perform EKGs and associated transmissions when required
  • Perform lab draws (including processing and shipping), as applicable
  • Assist with scheduling vendor-related subject appointments (e.g., imaging, eye appointments)
  • Clean, stock, and maintain department supplies and equipment in accordance with policy and duties as assigned
  • Assist with EDC entry related to source documentation as requested; this does NOT include query resolution

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Prior clinical research experience preferred
  • Minimum one year experience as medical assistant, research assistant, or similar position preferred; combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Commitment and ability to deliver excellent customer service
