The Research Assistant (RA) will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the laboratory, assisting the Principal Investigator (PI) with lab management tasks. This position is essential for ensuring the organization and functionality of the lab, as well as meeting grant and publication deadlines. The RA will report directly to Dr. Sreejith Nair, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oncology, and will be involved in various responsibilities that include maintaining accurate records of reagent and instrument purchases, managing chemical and biological inventories, and assisting in experiments and data analysis. In addition to laboratory research, the RA will engage in managerial activities, collaborating with other lab members to conduct experiments, analyze data, and procure research materials. The role requires close interaction with vendors, the Georgetown purchasing department, and neighboring laboratories to ensure the accuracy of deliverables. The RA will also be expected to contribute to the scientific community by performing quality research, publishing papers, and securing grant funding. This position is designated as On-Campus, reflecting the university's commitment to in-person collaboration and engagement within the academic environment.
