About the position

The Research Assistant (RA- Temporary Hourly Administrative) position at Metropolitan State University of Denver is designed to provide recent graduates with the opportunity to engage in faculty and administrator research, as well as scholarly and creative endeavors. This role is crucial in supporting the academic mission of the Department of Social Work and the university as a whole. The position is temporary and not benefits-eligible, with an hourly rate of $18.29. The RA will be expected to work a maximum of 19 hours per week and can be contracted for a maximum of one year. In this role, the Research Assistant will be involved in various tasks that may include the preparation of research materials, data analysis, conducting literature reviews, and assisting with conference preparations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced educational environment, demonstrating strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and organizational skills. They should be a quick learner who can work independently with minimal supervision, make sound decisions, and be committed to supporting the mission and values of the Department of Social Work and MSU Denver. Preferred qualifications include previous research experience and familiarity with quantitative and qualitative analysis software such as SPSS and QSR, respectively.
