About the position

The Research Assistant will support ongoing multicenter research studies focused on Parkinson's disease at the Seattle VA Medical Center. This role involves subject screening, recruitment, data collection, and coordination of research projects, contributing to the mission of improving the health and well-being of Veterans through research and education.

Responsibilities

• Screen subjects for eligibility criteria
• Obtain informed consent from study participants
• Collect clinical information from interviews with study participants
• Enter clinical information and test results into database
• Create and file subject charts
• Process biospecimen
• Schedule visits for study participants
• Coordinate projects with other research groups
• Maintain contact with physicians and community organizations for recruitment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in relevant academic areas
• Ability to work independently
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel software
