About the position

The Research Assistant position at the Arthritis & Rheumatology Research Institute involves supporting clinical research activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and assisting in the management of various studies. The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and effective communication with team members and study participants.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regulatory site files.
• Assist with study start-up regulatory documents.
• Correspond with monitors to complete study start-up process, interim monitoring visits, and close-out visits.
• Attend Investigator meetings.
• Follow GCP, IATA, ALCOA guidelines, study protocols, and SOPs.
• Conduct study visits per protocol.
• Manage various studies effectively.
• Perform IV Infusion and obtain vital signs, height, weight, and EKG.
• Process and ship labs, familiar with IATA guidelines.
• Maintain dry ice inventory and assist with purchasing dry ice as needed.
• Create new subject charts and source documents for trials.
• Prescreen potential patients for studies over the phone and update prescreening logs.
• Meet recruitment goals and maintain subject tracker logs.
• Perform data entry and query resolution.
• Order study supplies and manage lab kit inventory.
• Record investigational product (IP) shipments and complete temperature monitoring logs.

Requirements

• 1 year of clinical research experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with phlebotomy and IV infusion.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Good communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Adobe Acrobat.
• Familiarity with clinical trials and regulatory compliance.
