The Research Assistant for Rehabilitation Sciences will play a crucial role in supporting the research efforts within the department. They will also be responsible for preparing interview questions, recruiting subjects for research studies, and maintaining accurate records of participation while safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects. The Research Assistant will provide ready access to all experimental data for faculty researchers and supervisors, manage project-related communications, and maintain and update website materials related to the research projects. Additionally, the Research Assistant will supervise undergraduate students involved in the research project, ensuring that records of their assignments are maintained and acting as a liaison between the students and faculty researchers. Attendance at project meetings, area seminars, and other relevant meetings is expected to stay informed about ongoing research activities. The role also includes summarizing project results, preparing progress reports, and contributing to the writing of articles, reports, and presentations. The Research Assistant will monitor the project budget and may travel to field sites to collect and record data as necessary. They will also be involved in coding and verifying data according to research protocols and entering data into databases or spreadsheets for analysis.
