About the position

The Research Assistant position at Rutgers Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research involves supporting research initiatives focused on critical population health issues. The role includes data collection, participant recruitment, and data management, contributing to interdisciplinary research efforts in health and wellness.

Responsibilities

• Travel to participant homes to assist with data collection, including biological sample collection.
• Participate in recruitment, screening, and scheduling of participants for study visits.
• Monitor participants' completion of study daily collection and follow-up surveys.
• Administer semi-structured interviews to assess mental health conditions and obtain feedback from participants.
• Clean and code data.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific/technical discipline or equivalent experience in research protocols and tests.
• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for travel.

Nice-to-haves

• Enrolled as a graduate student in social sciences (e.g., Psychology, Public Health).
• Previous experience with research and familiarity with Qualtrics and/or mobile data collection.
