About the position

Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Education (SOE) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for a current graduate student at VCU who is passionate about contributing to a diverse and inclusive academic environment. The selected candidate will work closely with two faculty researchers on a federally funded research project that focuses on large-scale secondary data analysis. As a Research Assistant, you will be responsible for managing large datasets, identifying and sorting variables, and conducting both descriptive and inferential statistical analyses. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Obtained a bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or a related area.
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program at VCU.
  • Has completed research methods and statistics courses.
  • Excellent large-scale data analysis skills.
  • Excellent academic writing skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • An earned Master's degree and currently enrolled in a doctoral program.
  • Previous experience working on large-scale secondary data analysis projects.
  • Knowledge and skills in interdisciplinary research and collaboration.
