About the position

The University of Michigan-Flint is seeking a temporary Research Associate I to assist with a National Institutes of Health (NIH) study focused on understanding adolescent perspectives on improving telehealth services. This role involves data analysis, training undergraduate researchers, and ensuring the integrity of study data. The position is part-time, requiring up to 10 hours of work per week, and will commence in October 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Perform independent data analysis of study data.
  • Compare study demographics with those of Genesee County to identify recruitment needs.
  • Train undergraduate student researchers on study tasks.
  • Assign interviews among students based on availability.
  • Contact pediatrician offices to gauge their willingness to participate in the study.
  • Offer reimbursement/incentives to pediatrician offices per IRB protocol.
  • Make changes to the Qualtrics survey following IRB approved changes.
  • Verify participant responses by checking geo-location to ensure they are Genesee County residents.
  • Maintain a data collection file to ensure data accuracy.
  • Oversee a variety of databases.

Requirements

  • Graduation from college or university with a bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Work experience in research or related technical fields.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a related field.
