The role involves querying databases, processing data, deploying production models, and communicating scientific findings through publications and conferences.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the development, evaluation, and/or application of computational and statistical methods including artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms for biomedical data analysis.
• Presents and communicates scientific results through laboratory meetings, scientific conferences, and peer-reviewed publications.
• Creates database-to-deployment pipelines for models using programming languages such as Python, R, and C++.
• Develops sustainable data science infrastructure and adheres to data analysis/machine learning standard processes.
• Performs exploratory data analysis to assess the need for advanced analytical methods.
• Collaborates with senior data scientists, research programmers, and principal investigators to identify applications of data science in biomedical research.
• Tests and validates code to ensure adaptability of data applications.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Biomedical Imaging, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• Up to two years of professional experience in healthcare industries working with electronic medical record/medical imaging data.
• Intermediate to advanced programming skills in Python, C++, or R.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in relevant fields is preferred.
• Experience in healthcare machine learning is preferred.
