About the position
The Research Associate I position at the Gladstone Institutes involves applying technical knowledge in scientific research to investigate neural network circuit function and dysfunction. Responsibilities
- Supervise maintenance of animal colonies and colony breeding management
- Assist with surgical procedures, immunohistochemistry, and basic animal behavioral assays
- Maintain lab records
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- BS/BA in Biological Sciences or related field or Associate's degree and 2+ years of related experience
- Experienced and willing to work with rodents
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in neuroscience, computer/data science, or bioengineering
- Experience with rodent (mouse and rat) handling, husbandry, and animal colony management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, GraphPad Prism
