About the position

As a Research Associate II in Sterility Assurance at Baxter, you will lead initiatives to ensure the production of sterile medical products. This role involves collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and global manufacturing facilities, focusing on new product development, sustaining product support, and improving manufacturing margins. You will play a crucial role in driving projects that save and sustain lives, contributing to Baxter's mission of improving patient outcomes globally.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, prioritize, and manage multiple Sterility Assurance-related activities with minimal guidance
  • Provide input for schedules, budget, product requirements, and design
  • Support regulatory submissions
  • Liaise with cross-functional project teams and manufacturing facilities to develop validation plans and sterilization parameters for product development
  • Lead and support product development studies
  • Facilitate agile Sterility Assurance internal project meetings
  • Communicate program status effectively to multi-disciplinary project team members, management, and key stakeholders
  • Provide support for complex investigations, troubleshooting, and CAPAs
  • Evaluate data/results relative to product requirements, definitions, and program goals
  • Travel to Baxter manufacturing facilities or suppliers (up to 20% of the time)

Requirements

  • A B.S. in Engineering or Science related and 3+ years of related experience or a Masters with 1+ years of related experience
  • General knowledge of sterilization modalities and regulatory requirements for sterile medical products (Moist Heat, Ethylene Oxide, Radiation [gamma, electron beam, X-ray], Aseptic Processing)
  • The ability to drive complex decision-making and influence courses of action using both written and verbal methods
  • Desirable skills in designing experiments and drawing meaningful conclusions from data using statistical methods such as descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics
  • Effective cross-functional team operation with minimal guidance
  • The ability to provide solutions that reflect an understanding of business objectives and cost implications
