About the position

The Research Associate II position is a contract role focused on protein purification process development within a pre-pivotal purification and pilot operations team. The role involves executing downstream purification tasks, analyzing data, and collaborating with team members to contribute to both early and late-stage protein molecule development.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned downstream purification tasks and projects.
• Analyze purification process data, prepare reports, and present findings; engage senior team members to discuss solutions.
• Share results, data analysis, and conclusions during group meetings.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and a team-focused, problem-solving approach.
• Maintain a commitment to safety in all work activities.

Requirements

• Familiarity with downstream techniques like centrifugation, chromatography, and filtration.
• Hands-on experience with AKTA systems, tangential flow filtration, and depth filtration is advantageous.
• Understanding of cGMPs, technology transfer, and bioprocess scale-up is a plus.
• Excellent technical writing, verbal communication, and organizational skills.
• Self-driven, well-organized, and curious with a passion for scientific exploration.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a laboratory setting with protein purification techniques.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the biopharmaceutical industry.
