About the position

The Research Associate II position is a full-time role focused on developing and validating bioassays to support biological drug development within the pharmaceutical industry. The role involves planning and executing experiments, analyzing data, and collaborating with senior personnel to address challenges in the research process. The candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to process development activities and project goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate bioassays to support biological drug development.
• Plan and execute assigned experiments that support Process Development activities and project goals.
• Proactively seek out senior personnel to discuss potential solutions to problems.
• Participate in group meetings to share test results.
• Recognize anomalous and inconsistent results and interpret experimental outcomes.
• Develop skills in data analysis and evaluate the quality of data.
• Operate scientific equipment such as Plate reader and Softmax software for ELISA, and perform cell culture techniques.
• Select appropriate methods and techniques to perform experiments and prepare related reports.
• Plan and organize details of experiments with guidance.
• Demonstrate good verbal communication and interpersonal skills to provide insight into processes used to achieve results of assigned tasks.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with a BS degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• 1+ years of experience with an MS degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Basic understanding of ELISA and cell-based assays.
• Experience in data analysis using SoftMax Pro software and graphic display of data using Excel and PowerPoint.
